Hi brides! Independence Day is Wednesday and Megan and I wanted to create something to inspire all you brides out there. We used our preferred vendors including Jaime Smith of Couture Weddings and John Powers of Visual Power Cinema to capture the details for us. A lot of couples pick holidays for their wedding dates. If you are planning a wedding around a holiday we want to show you that you don’t have to be literal with your design choices. If you are having a wedding during the fall season don’t feel the urge to place pumpkins and leaves all over your venue if that isn’t what you and your husband-to-be don’t like. You can use your food choices, signature drinks or color palette that compliment and reflect the season or holiday instead.

Megan and I wanted to give you all some inspiration for a Fourth of July event. We had a great time brainstorming ideas and working together. We wanted to use fun, bold patterns and color blocking throughout the event. Megan found a great print and made the napkins to break up all the blue and white. Because we knew we would be having pops of color throughout we asked our preferred vendor Rachel Ely of Blossoms and Accents to create some neutral white floral arrangements. Sweet by Holly created some delicious raspberry filled cupcakes to compliment the raspberry mojitos. I made drink stirrers with berried and ribbon to make the champagne a bit more festive. I designed a custom label to match the rest of the décor,  created bunting to tie all the colors in and add some color and  offered parasols for shade. We also provided sparklers as the favor of course and I made a tag to tie them together. You can also add your monogram, wedding date, a cute quote or instructions like “Send us off at 9:30!” We hope everyone has a safe and happy Fourth of July.
